There-in lies the key. Note my last line - if nothing else tells sendmail
it is ok - which "implies" that his configuration is not recognizing its own
domain name since the "test" for a "local" user/local domain is about 10 to
15 lines further "UP" the file (before this test is done)....
Since we don't have access to his system and configuration it is difficult
to tell precisely, but it would appear something is "wrong" in "a" config
somewhere. I traced a problem for about an hour yesterday trying to figure
out why an update program I was writing was not working. It ran, but did not
do the update for my radius servers. Turns out it was as simple as "usre"
vice "user" (note the typo) - easy to "see" once pointed out - difficult in
pages of code or when "scanning". Humans more often than not "see" what they
expect to see vice what is actually there. The old school test of a
paragraph that has 12 "the" words in it - one of them a dupe (the the) and
90% of those that "read" it will swear there are only 11 "the" words....
