There's no theoretical limit to capacity. Those restrictions were
removed with one of the ROM upgrades a while back. The power consumption
of the drives is what's important.  ATA-33 5400rpm drives are what the
system was designed for; the 7200s seem to draw too much juice and get
too hot...

Yes, that's the point of mirroring... the 2nd drive takes the load
automatically, and an alert mail is sent to the RaQ Admin.  It says
which drive died ("the LEFT drive as you look at the server from the
front" or something like that). You schedule some downtime, power the
box down, open the case, swap out the dead drive for a new one (make
sure it isn't already RAID-formatted from another system!), close it all
up, and power the system back up. Mirroring content to the new drive
happens automagically in the background, just like when you build the
system the first time (or after an unplug, like Jeff said!)
