I have not run into that problem with any customers I have dealt with
personally.
1. There is only one place in the UI to enter a host/domain name.
2. From the datasheet (emphasis mine): "It has all the tools and
services ncessary for establishing _AN_ Internet Web site or _AN_
Intranet community." "Launch _A_ Web site full of rich content" "Host
your Web _SITE_..."

Technically, yes. But it is not supported or recommended by Sun at all,
as the required changes need to be made in the Apache configuration
files, and there are no provisions in the web interface to do so. If you
can figure out how to do it, good for you.

UNSUPPORTED/POTENTIALLY INCOMPLETE ANSWER: I would suspect that the web
interface for configuring the server itself (host/domain, IP, etc) might
not work properly once the manual changes have been made to the config
files. Also, any future upgrades from Sun Cobalt would probably
overwrite your modifications, so care would need to be taken when
installing all future patches.

We do.

Then buy a Windows-based solution.

The Qube is not targetted at "the server market"
(http://www.cobalt.com/products/qube/faq.qube.html#2) But I'm not even
going to get into this discussion here. Suffice it to say that it
hasn't been much of an issue for 99%+ of our customers.
Thank you for your feedback; I will pass it on to the Product Managers
for review...
