Hello Cobalt Users,
It would be great if someone could help me in a mail setup configuration.
All the examples I found in the web and the HOWTO's are not covering my case.
Here is my configuration:
Qube3 with private address space 192.168.10.99 and registered domain.
qube3.teamstrebel.ch
My Network is connected to via a DSL router to my provider: mypovider.ch
He hosts a SMPT Server with the name mail.myprovider.ch which I use to send
mail.
My POP server is operated by another provider. He hosts my mailserver with
the name popmailxxxxx.teamstrebel.ch and has a public IP address.
I can send mail from the home network clients via the Qube3. He is
forwarding the mail to mail.myprovider.ch
What is not working: when I use Webmail on the Qube3, then I get a error
message like below:
----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
(reason: 552 <xxxxxxx@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> unable to verify address)
----- Transcript of session follows -----
... while talking to mail.myprovider.ch.:
>>> MAIL From:<xxxxxx@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> SIZE=247
<<< 552 <xxxxxx@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> unable to verify address
Reporting-MTA: dns; qube3.teamstrebel.ch
Arrival-Date: Wed, 20 Mar 2002 12:17:38 +0100
Q:
What type of DNS records do I have to set up?
Thank you in advance
Jakob Strebel
