Only use a 5400 rpm drive as the 7200 rpm drives will get too hot for the case. I believe 40mb is the largest and you need the newest CD to restore from.

Also, exactly what happens when it is all set up and running and the one of the drive fail? Does the mirrored drive just take over, or is it a manual operation?
