There used to be a television commercial here in the U.S. that ended
with "It's not nice to fool mother nature".
Well, it's not nice to fool the Cobalt gui either. You should have
changed the httpd.conf file virtual sites back to the original before
deleting the sites, and then deleted those subdirectory structures by
hand.
The problem appears to be that you didn't properly reset the groupname
for the directory structure, but it's probably a bit more complex than
that having to do with things like where the users were, etc., etc.
We've got a method for this kind of reseller hosting in a RaQ but it's
completely manual, and we find it less hassle to just do it under
"straight" linux.
I suppose I should write it up and put it in a faq?
