As you may have noticed, one of those security packages isn't safe
either <frown>.

I'd stay put for a moment, but find out why the upgrade doesn't work.
It should; it appears to have some problems but be quite safe.

Do you own or rent your server?

On our rental servers if there's a problem like this we rebuild a new
server from scratch and restore your sites to the new server from OUR
(weekly) backups or from yours if you've got a more recent one. Yes
there's a charge, but it's far short of four hours of billable time.

While we're NOT responsible for Cobalt problems, we do take some time to
learn how to minimize them.
