Hi,
My client is trying to submit a FP form on his site, and it is erroring
out with :-
domain.name/_vti_bin/shtml.exe/contact_old.htm
appearing in a new browser window with just a standard error which reads
:-
FrontPage Error.
User: please report details to this site's webmaster.
Webmaster: please see the server's system log for more details
However, maybe I am looking in the wrong place, but I can't find any
error relating to this except the one recorded in fpexec_log, which just
records the file being used.
I have tried to create a new form, but this fails as well.
The forms work fine on any other site - it is just this one that errors.
I have checked the domain.name:80.cnf files for both the working one,
and the failing one and they are both identical.
I have checked the httpd.conf file for any errors on the VirtualHost
section, but this again looks fine, when comparing the two sites - the
only think I have noticed is that some sites have ServerAdmin as admin,
and others have it as the site number (Which should it be?)
I have searched through the archives, and also the Knowledge Base,
without joy. Most of the suggestions relate to the :80.cnf file, but as
these are identical, I can't see how this is to blame.
I only have four instances of shtml.exe on the server, none of which are
in either of these two sites, so I assuming that both sites are using
the version in /usr/local/frontpage/version4.0/_vti_bin/
Can anyone throw any light on why this part of the site should be
failing? All other sections of the site including a FP counter work
fine, even on the site that errors on the form.
Thanks in advance,
Ian
