Re: [cobalt-users] secure mail for admin

sorry, I know this must have been asked before, but I couldn't find an
answer in the archives or the knowledge base.

My problem: How can I recieve mails for admin without sendig plain text
passwords over the net hundreds of times a day? I know I could do it using
SSH, but it would be much more comfortable using an ordinary mail client.
Enabling APOP doesn't seem to help, because I'd have to enable it for the
user as well, and I can't do that for admin. Perhaps there is a way to
forward the mails to another user...

Henning, probably the easiest way is to go to the original index.html file that was for the main site then go to the personal details section of that page, and add a forwarding address for the admin mail to a non privledged account.

Of course, you should always have either a self-signed cert installed for the main site so passing the passwd in plain text is not an issue to even do that..

Hope this helps
