Some further information.
I have looked into the new directory /etc/mail and found the old config file i.e. aliases~ virtusertable~ etc and checked the files with diff for changes and I can't see anything there of any consequence.
Having tested the email addresses with sendmail -bv they are still reported as user unknown whereas yesterday they worked.
Does any one have _any_ suggestions at all? I have thought about editing the aliases file and creating newaliases but I think that this is going to be overwritten by the GUI when I add users or modify existing users.
Thanks
Simon
