I run Duplidisk RAID 1 here on all our non-Cobalt machines, fact is
I was busy installing one on a shinny new IBM eServer when this
message rolled by. I've never tried installing it on a Cobalt but
I'm pretty sure the no-slot model would slide right in. I've been
thinking about trying it but, well, we're migrating to another
hardware platform. As for the benefit of using Duplidisk, assuming
that Cobalt's software implimention of RAID is similar to that of
RedHat, the advantage would be that you would end with a bootable
drive if you use Duplidisk - you don't with the Software RAID
implimentation.
DupliDisk is very very cool. Totally OS independent RAID 1.
Just plug it in and let it do it's thing.
Peace be with you,
