Thanks Tom. I know about this package. I might have to resort to it in the
meantime. Don't see how it'll be much use for billing my customers.
Thanks anyway. Who do you colocate with and where? ( feel free to send off
list )
Kai.

Kai,
I am in AU with the same problem, I have installed MRTG and this tool
http://bjorn.swift.st/traffic/ and together they give me a rough idea of
incoming and outgoing traffic - not perfect, but at least I know what ball
park I am in.
You can get a pretty nice RAQ .pkg for MRTG at
http://vito.pointclark.net/security/mrtg.html

=> Well,
=>
=> It's been a few months so I thought maybe someone might know. In
=> Australia
=> here, I get charged for incoming bandwidth only. This means that
=> I only pay
=> for what the server downloads... so people FTP uploading, ircd incoming
=> traffic etc. I need some software so that I can look at statistics on how
=> much incoming data my server is using, and totals for sites too.
=> So I know
=> exactly which account to bill for the excess data I pay for. I
=> can't simply
=> say to someone... "Okay you're being billed this much" without any proof.
=> This is my dilema. I know of one other hosting company on this
=> list who is
=> looking for the same software.
=>
=> Anyone know of any? We are talking about INCOMING...IE: People
=> UPLOADING TO
=> the server... not people DOWNLOADING FROM the server. Yes...
=> Backwards from
=> the US hosting companies.
=>
=> Thanks in advance.
=>
=> Kai.
