[cobalt-users] Problem with installing Restore CD on RAQ Server

My name is Gilberto, I am from San Juan, Puerto Rico, and I wanted to
ask a question that I have posted in the forum for a while but everyone
keeps answering the same thing.. I don't think they are getting me
right. I hope you can help me a bit in here. I will start from the
beginning:

I recently aquired a Cobalt RaQ. A friend of mine gave it to me as a
present. He mentioned that the harddrive was screwed, that all I needed
to do was install a new one and do the restore CD process (which I have
followed to the letter). I installed the HD which was a 10gb one put on
the case of the server, and rebooted the recovery cd from a workstation
that has the network card specified. Attached to it I have the cobalt
using a cat 5 crossover cable. The server boot gets to the lic.
Agreement and after I accept it, I receive the set of instructions that
says to me to turn on the cobalt while pressing the 'S' button on the
console.

(here is where my problem begins)

The cobalt when I turn it on (while pressing the 'S' button), shows in
the
LCD the word: "Starting Up". After minutes of waiting nothing else
happens. I don't get the NetBooting or anything else. Here is where I
am stuck.

I have consecuently changed the hardrives from one new one to another to
some other with linux on it. I have changed the network cards, tried
using a hub. I am stuck and I do not know what I am doing wrong if
anything or what else can be happening or why does the cobalt not see
the brand new hdd.

Any hints, tips.. anything I am missing here?
Thanks for any help or insight you can provide.

Gilberto
