Ok, never mind...
I fixed the problem this afternoon, although I still have no idea why
this stuff starts in the first place. I'm assuming that it's some
weirdness with qpopper, but who knows. Somebosy clarify this issue forme
if you can. At any rate, I solved the recurring mail .lock and .pop files
by doing the following:
- Turn off email services in Cobalt Admin
- Telnet as root:
rm /home/spool/mail/.*.pop -i
rm /home/spool/mail/*.lock -i
rm /var/cobalt/status
- Reboot server in Cobalt Admin
- Restart email services in Cobalt Admin
Everybody is happy again.
