[cobalt-users] Checking that the s/w is correctly updated (was email alias problems)

I've been struggling with my email alias problem - everyone who has helped can't see anything wrong.

David Lucas has been particularly helpful and got me to look at the system update status - his conclusion is:

Looks like you had some problems with your update
There are things there that shouldn't be there any more.
9353 should be gone
8762 should be gone
Did you install the updates in order from the bottom up?

Maybe someone who knows the command line entries can find out what is there and what is missing.

I printed the page and marked them off one at a time as I installed them.
I installed items that would be obsoleted by a newer update just because it said to install in order. Some updates are dependent on others being there.

You may want to post to the list and ask how to find out as your gui doesn't seem to be correct and see if someone can tell you how to check. I think I have seen it posted before, but I don't remember when.

So how do I go about doing this? And is it likely that those two updates (9353 and 8762) are causing email aliases not to work?
