I believe all you have to do is comment or remove the following like from
/etc/mail/sendmail.cf (comment it by putting a # at beginning of line):

Kpopauth hash -a<MATCH> /etc/mail/popip.db

Then stop and start sendmail from the commandline /etc/rc.d/init.d/sendmail
stop (start) or from the GUI.

I do not know offhand if using the GUI will overwrite that change.
