I have been keeping up with this thread and all but I have not seen any
information
about people installing this on a production box. My dilemma is that my
company is
hosting a production site which I could probably take down temporarily but
not long
enough to remove php, install OSUpdate 2, then reinstall PHP again and hope
that
nothing broke in the way (other than the ftp issues already mentioned).

Given the fact we only have 1 server and if things went wrong during the
update
it could be bad situation for me since I am the only linux "admin" in our
company 
and for our site to be down for a longer period of time we bring $$$ into
the equation
and that is even worse!!!

What steps could I take to guarantee (I know that only happens in a perfect
world)
a smooth installation of the OSUpdate 2?
