Hi folks,
Yesterday I went to a clients location and setup their single office
computer to retrieve email for 6 of their employees. They only had Outlook
so we used it and when I left all their email accounts were working properly
and were fully accessible. This morning they can access none of them and
LogCheck keeps sending me these:
(66.44.20.137): -ERR [AUTH] PAM authentication failed for user "ernie":
Authentication failure (7)
Feb 20 10:11:42 www in.qpopper[14926]: [AUTH] Failed attempted login to
ernie from host (66-44-20-137.s137.apx3.lnh.md.dialup.rcn.com) 66.44.20.137
The user has all the right passwords defined as does the server, I can't
figure this out, why would Pam fail the authentication? Damn this is
frustrating, if anyone has any ideas, please let me know, it's on a Raq3.
All other email accounts on the Raq work fine like they always have. Could
this be an outlook problem on their end?
Brad
