Well, 1st make sure that your reverse is broken.
enter the following in your browsers address bar.
http://www.his.com/cgi-bin/nslookup?ip.ad.re.ss
and see if it can be resolved.
I get this output:
Server: legacydns3.his.com
Address: 205.177.25.9
Non-authoritative answer:
Name: MyDomainName.it
Address: MyIPAddress
Aliases: www.MyDomainName.it
Where MyDomainName.it is the domain name, MyIPAddress is my server IP
address and www.MyDomainName.it is the URL of my server.
most of the time when you have a timeout popping your mail
it is the client that has the broken reverse.
Hemm... sorry.... what is "reverse lookup"? ?=(.
The client points to a virtual site address, on the RaQ3.
so check the client's IP and the servers IPs
You do know how to put reverse ptr in your DNS GUI?
Yup!... re-sorry....no.
Thanks for your reply, anyway.
