[cobalt-users] RaQ3: cannot log as root after executing usermod

I ran the following command:

/usr/sbin/usermod -G root admin

And the next time I tried to login as root, the server didn't accept the 
root password:

admin]$ su -l root
Password:
su: incorrect password.

I never changed the root password.

I don't understand what's happening. What can I do?
