To su to root you have to be in the "wheel" group, admin in this case is,
while other "normal" users on you machine are not.
That is why case 1 and 2 don't work, and case 3 does :)

| As i figured out, you cant get root if you log on as a user different than
| admin.

| You must be logged in first as admin user and su then to root

| on all our machines this happens:

| 1.
| log in as "someuser"
| su to root - wont work (password error)
|
| 2.
| log in as "someuser"
| su to admin (works)
| su to root (doesnt work - password error)
|
| 3.
| log in as "admin"
| su to root (works)
|
| Can anyone tell my WHY Point 1 and 2 dont work?
