Control Panel, Parameters (next to Email Server), check POP Before SMTP
Relaying and set Relay Window to # of minutes you want the POP
authentication to keep relay privileges open.

The server's apache log is at /home/log/httpd/access. It gets rotated
pretty frequently so you may want to change that or add a new CustomLog line
to httpd.conf to generate another log that doesn't rotate or rotates however
you set it in logrotate.

If you're the only user you're concerned about you can login via SSH to your
RaQ and add your IP to the file POP before SMTP writes to. You can do that
with a single command from the commandline every time you want to send an
email (I call that a pain) or you can write a script run from cron every X
minutes that will do it for you (assumes your IP doesn't change).

And if you have a rediculous ISP like me (Verizon) you can't even send out
through the ISPs SMTP unless your FROM address is a verizon.net address.
Nice.
