Since I'm replying, I suppose it's my obligation to suggest that when you
post a new message do not do so by replying to an existing thread as it
ruins the effectiveness of mail readers who show messages in a threaded
fashion and trim your replies - you left 22kb of a digest message intact
that had nothing to do with your post. That goes a long ways towards
alienating those on this list who are on slow connections and/or pay for
their time on the internet. Now for your MySQL problem...

I haven't used the webmin mysql administration module so I can't tell you
what to do in webmin specifically, but...

What are you locked out of specifically? What did webmin change - the
hostname in the mysql db table, user table, something else?

That seems like overkill. If you have shell access to the box (as in ssh or
telnet), use the mysql commandline program to access the mysql db and change
the appropriate table's records using an UPDATE query or GRANT syntax. If
you don't know how to do that, read the archives and/or the MySQL manual at
mysql.com. Alternately, maybe you can install phpMyAdmin on the site you
changed localhost to and try to make the change via phpMyAdmin's GUI.
