FYI - I was able to get the problem fixed after spending an hour or so
searching the archives. There is no *ONE* message that I found that
provides a fix, but I got enough information to fix the problem.

So, does anyone know *WHY* this problem started. Neomail was running
fine for several MONTHS before the first user started reporting the
error - then within a couple weeks, a LOT of users started reporting
it.

Since no Sun patches were released in that interval, I am certain no
new software was installed, so I really dont know why the problem
started, or why it was not apparent for several months (if it was
always there)?!?

Anyone know why?

p.s. The fix for me was to chgrp -R siteX mail where siteX is the group
for that site. Since I dont have a huge number of users, I just
manually made the changes. Also, on another suggestion I added 'mail'
to the /etc/skel/user/en_US directory so that the directory will get
created when I add new users.
