[cobalt-users] RE How to make a sub domain?

I have checked out the FAQ supplied by Menno at

What I don't understand is why they advise you to keep the www as the host.

Most (if not every) sub-domain I've ever seen has been in the format
http://sub.domain.com

ie.http://list.cobalt.com/

I always set up my sites so that they will respond without www in front
anyway.

Maybe we aren't talking the same turkey here.
Any clarification would be useful.
