A salesperson said that something would do name-based (NOT
IP-based) virtual FTP hosting? If so, that's a problem. The
RaQ will do IP-based anonymous FTP all day long. NOTHING can do
name-based virtual FTP.
Anyone who claims or believes that anything can do name-based
FTP, SSL, etc. has problems. Some protocols just do not handle
it. Period. FTP is one of these. Period. It's the protocol,
NOT the implementation. End of discussion.
Again, as people have pointed out, one can always resort to port
perversion. But I cringe when people do it.
Is there any reason why you can't use IP-based hosting?
