Re: [cobalt-users] Re Anonymous FTP

But the point of the cobalt servers (I thought) was to make linux, more user friendly??? I am seeing a trend in all linux OS Releases and some unix releases.. that are all booting right into KDE, or some other GUI interface to attempt to make the OS look more user friendly.

Further to this thread, if you need to have HTTPS for individual sites, then
you also need individual IPs for those sites. The certification will only
resolve 1 domain per ip so the certificate would show up with an error (name
on certificate does not match the name of the site) if you only have 1 ip
for the server.

The fact that the RAQ can resolve multiple domains on 1 ip is a function of
http 1.1 and so the operating system is largely irrelevant. The raq is
intended to be a WEB hosting device not a file server, so that is the way it
has been set up. It doesn't mean you can't do other things with it, you just
have to tweak it sometimes.

I am running an Unreal Tournament server from one of my virtual sites with
no problems and no OS tweaks needed. That isn't mentioned in the manual
either !
