Re: [cobalt-users] anonymous ftp on raq 4I

Let me rephrase what Gerald says:
You MUST use IP based hosting to do anonymous ftp.
That is why you can only turn it on for one site.

If you want a "linux box" and all the features of a "linux box", you should not have a Raq. It is an appliance with specific features and other things intentionally removed from its operating system. If you check it will tell you it is running something like Cobalt OS Release 6.0. It does not say RedHat 6.2, which I understand it was based on.

Can you do anonymous ftp on a single IP for multiple domains on a "linux box"?

Use a Windows 2K Adv Server and what is the price difference in the operating system??? About $2000.

If I wanted to do I.P. based hosting I would use Windows 2K ADV. Server or one of the .NET servers
