[cobalt-users] RE: SSL Certificate from Thawte

I'm a little confused with what you think you've
done..? Not to mention the $600 price tag you're
quoting. Why $600 for an SSL cert from Thawte? I just
renewed mine as well and only paid $100 US bucks. But
anyway, regarding your problem.

So you purchased a cert from Thawte (that $600 thing),
and you tried to install it but it didn't seem to
work. So you deleted it, but now you want to know if
you can still use it? (correct?).

Answer:
You can still use the original cert if you made a
backup of the cert before deleting it. You also need
the original "key" and "request" text files which were
(are) located under the /certs folder:

certs
request
key

If you saved all the above, you won't need to order a
new SSL cert from Thawte. If you didn't save all the
toys from the /certs folder noted above prior to
deleting them -get out the credit card.
