[cobalt-users] partial access to server.

Hi,

Server had been running well so far until something went wrong today, User
were still able to access main page (www.mydomain.com/index.html) of the
virtual domain, but all the email service is not working. I could not even
telnet, ftp or access to www.mydomain.com/admin or www.mydomain.com/personal
. But I am still able to ping the IP address and DNS is able to resolve.

So I called the server co-location service provider. They were able to
access www.mydomain.com/admin but were not able to do any telnet from their
side. So I asked for a server reset from the GUI, but problems still
persist. I have been screwed upside down by my bosses and customers. Now I
will be on my way to the data center to have a look to see what I can do on
this issue.

Just to check whether any one of you ever encounter such problems? The data
center personal insist that it is my cobalt server faulty, I have no idea
what steps should I do to check whether is the server fault. What could
possibly gone wrong and what are the possible solutions? Thanks.
