As a good deal of the Cobalt users on the list are obliged to use Windows
for software compatibility (like myself), this product could make life a lot
easier for working not only with Linux in general, but being able to develop
scripts offline for our Cobalt servers etc.
I currently have to switch between Suse Linux and Win 98 on my machine,
which is somewhat annoying. Also being a native Windows user has made the
transition to a Linux server more difficult, whereas working on a more
user-friendly Linux platform would have made it easier and those telnet
sessions to my Raq wouldn't be so daunting.
Whilst I personally dislike Microsoft (not because of their software,
because of their attempts to stifle competition), supporting a project like
Lindows does not necessitate 'bashing' Microsoft.
I followed the correct 'netiquette' (as per the Cobalt User List guidelines)
by clearing marking my post as being slightly off-topic, so you needn't have
objected to the post. I feel it is relevant to the many other newbies on the
list.
