Dear List Participants,
This morning, .htaccess files started giving server error messages on
our RAQ 4i. This phenomenon was sudden and server-wide. Have spoken with
the company involved, and no one there has done/was doing any sort of
upgrades. Still, .htaccess won't work. The only way to view all those
passworded pages across all those domains, in the meantime, was to
change the name of all .htaccess files to something else.
The .htaccess format used, learned here on the list, has been working
faithfully for months. Nothing at all recent is different in the machine
configuration, etc. A cursory check by me and by the company suggests no
"intruders." So -- if anyone has had a similar experience and solved the
problem, I would appreciate hearing about it, and thank you. I don't
even know where to start thinking about this and hope someone here does
know.
Regards, Nell Bolen
