My solution: external ISDN router (I use a 3com OfficeConnect
ISDNLanModem but they are equivalent products from Netgear, D-Link,
Linksys, ...). It seems that unless you bought an ISDN Qube (ie you
bought it from Cobalt with the ISDN card included), you will have some
hard time getting it to work (you may search in the archives, many
tried, some did succeed although I am not sure).

When you say that you have all the patches installed, did you see that
many of these have a note saying not to install on ISDN Qube ? I don't
know why (I guess ISDN support is compiled into something that get
broken with normal patches).

Using an external router frees you from all this, the router takes
care of connecting (and of a few other things like DHCP).

As for having the Qube collect your mail, I am mildly happy with this
because it's not highly customizable (unless you are a linux pro): you
can choose between every 15mn, 30mn, 1 hour and 6 hours and that's
about it. So your Qube is collecting mail nights and days, workdays
and holidays, every 15mn. I tried to modify the cron jobs, but
couldn't achieve something like collecting the mail every 15 mn from 8
to 12 and 13 to 18 and every 1 hours at other times and maybe every 4
hours during night and holidays.
