It looks like FrontPage is kicking my butt, again. Here's the client error I
am getting...
"The folder "http://www.allserve.net" isn't accessible. The folder may be
located on an unavailable volume or protected with a password." For details,
see <inset long path>\wecerr.txt for details." Needless to say, wecerr.txt
is useless.
Tailing my log file on the server, here are some of the errors that are
generated on the server...
First errors generated:
[Mon Dec 31 13:56:43 2001] [error] [client 66.21.145.89] Premature end of
script headers: /usr/sbin/fpexec
[Mon Dec 31 13:56:43 2001] [error] (1)Operation not permitted: exec of
/usr/sbin/fpexec failed
Then I started farting with the file permissions on fpexec, which generated:
[Mon Dec 31 15:48:12 2001] [error] [client 66.21.146.180] fpEXEC stub is not
setuid: /usr/sbin/fpexec
[Mon Dec 31 15:48:12 2001] [error] [client 66.21.146.180] fpEXEC stub is not
setuid: /usr/sbin/fpexec
Microsoft, Cobalt, Sun - I see a million posts like mine above, but nobody
seems to have an answer. The only thing original about my message is that I
posted the server side logs. So my questions are...
1. What the !@#$%^ is going on? I didn't change anything!
2. How do I fix it?
3. Is there a comprehensive doc/faq that describes how to take off frontpage
and put it back on, reinstall it, fix it? or...
3b. Can I save the *.cnf files, rm /usr/local/frontpage, and install a pkg
to put it back on in it's original state?
4. Is it a server side problem at all? I am running FP 2000 client with
Windows XP. Can someone try to open http://www.allserve.net and verify
whether it is a server or client side problem?
Any help would be appreciated!
