Hi friends,
I am not a very expert in Linux. I am trying to creat ODBC connection 
from my Linux RaQ4 web server to my NT4.0 database server. I have 
oracle 8.1.7 on my NT box. I have already installed oracle 8.1.7 client 
on my RaQ4. 
Now when ever i try to create the DNS from the ASP console page, and 
try to test it, it gives me the following error:

Error: -2147418113
Description: Chili!ASP ADO control - build 3.4.1 Open call failed 
==========
I have the following on my systems:
RaQ4 apache server with linux RedHat 6.2
Chillisoft ASP 3.5.2
Oracle client installed on RaQ4 8.1.7

I searched for this error code. One of the place i found that 
in /home/chiliasp, there is a file ODBC.ini.(or global_odbc.ini). In 
this file change the value of 'servername' field with the name/IP of 
the server where the oracle client is installed. No I changed it with 
my RaQ4 IP(as i installed oracle client here). But when I try to modify 
this file or try to change it , it says there is swap file already 
available, so change it carefully . Since I am not a very expert in 
Linux so i do not change it. 

In NT there is a way to test the database connectivity through ODBC. 
How can I do that from my RaQ4. Cuz one person told me that before 
going to chilisoft ASP, first check the connectivity of ODBC with the 
database. So how can I do that..
If any one can help me before holidays I wll be grateful to him. As I 
want to finish it before the new year. As the ppl will start work again 
after new year..
