That'll work fine IF your users get their email at
name@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx I presume they want to get email at
name@xxxxxxxxxx, so they need an MX record for domain.com pointing to a
domain-name that's defined by an A record pointing to the machine
running the email server.
