Not true at all. The Cobalt boxes are RFC complaint for email if you
set them up properly. Even DNS is RFC complaiant, it's just not well
explained.

The MX record must point the domain for receiving mail to a place that
can receive it.

For example, mail addressed to jblists@xxxxxxxxxxxxx is served by my
Cobalt RaQ. If I had an A record for mail.nobaloney.net I could create
an MX record pointing to mail.nobaloney.net for incoming mail. I could
also point to any other domain name with an A record for the same
physical machine, since once email gets to the machine it doesn't matter
what domain name was used to get it there.

I don't use mail.nobaloney.net, by the way. I leave it as an exercise
for the reader to find out what I do use and why (hint: use nslookup
from your own RaQ).
