Hello,
I think I have FUBAR'ed my directory for my main site.
I am trying to get a set of perl scripts to run that make up the program w3perl (www.w3perl.com).
I could not get it to run. I was getting errors about unable to open this file and that file etc.

So I thougth it was a permission or owner problem.
Oh let me say I am unix dumb and just learning so probably learned enough to be a hazard and danger to my self and system.

now this is the main site. the very top of the site management screen in the web admin for the raq box.
There is one user called thait. In the directory for the site there is thait and admin.
I uploaded the program thru ftp as admin.

I started changing chown this and that now I have it all screwed up.
Who should own the files/directories for the site
thait.home
admin.home 
nobody.home
root.home 

Or can thait and admin own them ?

I am so lost, dazed and confused.
