Hmmm, I seem to have started something here.
OK so as I see it the general consensus is that I should, for each site have
the following:-
an A record ( and I assume PTR records ) for each virtual site set as:-
ftp.xyz.com
mail.xyz.com
www.xyz.com
xyz.com
and MX records for each pointing towards www.xyz.com
At that point everything should work absolutely according to the rules for
everything and nothing should be lost / missed / denied by anything on the
server or anything elsewhere on intermediate servers.
Is this then correct?
If so it might be something that the GUI and manual could be a whole lot
more informative about in future revisions perhaps?????
