Do you have two boxes using the same IP somewhere? Check the output of
/sbin/ifconfig to make sure all the IP addresses being used are sane.
Then try traceroute -n www.yahoo.com to see if you can route to rest of the
internet.
Make sure sendmail is running, check /var/log/messages and /var/log/maillog for
error messages.
