Check rights/permissions on the new W2K pro workstation - W2K is very
particuliar about this - as a quick way of verifying - log on as an
administrator and see if file sharing works - if so, then start modifying
permissions as needed.
Good luck
Robert

Subject: [cobalt-users] weird qube 2, W2K SMB problem
My customer has a Qube 2 that they use for file sharing. Their network
includes a NT server with Win9x clients. They added a W2K Pro workstation
recently. Everything works on the W2k computer except file sharing with the
Qube. This includes access to the NT domain, Internet access through the
Qube, e-mail using the Qube, etc. I can see all the other computers in
Network Neighborhood from the W2k workstation except the Qube.
I've tried the suggestions I've found in the Docs and have tried searching
the Sun Knowledgebase. I hooked up my W2K Pro laptop to their network and
it worked perfectly.
Does anyone have any idea what could be different between the two computers
(my laptop and their new computer) that would account for one working and
one not? I'm drawing a huge blank.
Thanks in advance,
Jerry
