Depends on the registrar you go through.. were members of nominet who
are the uk naming authority and basically we get an invoice for all
names on our tag which are due for renewal. We then bill our clients the
amount we charge and its renewed! If they don't pay then the domain gets
detagged and then released back in the pool.

So it would be a question to raise with the people you use to register
the names.. (or transfer to us :) )
