[cobalt-users] Apache Server is down and will not re-start

Hi All;

I am not quite shure what I did but the Apache sever that is on a Raq4i Raid
1 system desided to shut down.

I just installed the newest ver of PHP, SSH and Webliser.....
well my Server died.... Apache went down and it will not come back up.
I compaired my pkg's with another RAQ 4 and they are both the same
except that I have Pkg's 11246 installed and 9972 is not....
I tried to shut down Apache and restart it and it will not start via SSH
I also tried to re-boot and that is a no go....
My access to the control panel is fine because I use https not http
i installed a self sign cert. into the box.
All other services work, DNS, e-mail, FTP, SSH and https on port 81 for the
control panel
Just no Port 80 http and the webserver sent me this e-mail

The main web server appears to be down.  Make sure that the server's network
interface has been correctly configured in the network control panel.  If
it all looks correct, try rebooting the server; if this still does not
correct the problem, contact Cobalt Technical Support.

I have been getting this error..... since I installed this server.
Been trying to fix that.... I wonder if it is my problem

Error: Can't open log file /var/log/httpd/access_log
webalizer: error in loading shared libraries: webalizer: undefined symbol:
gdImageGif

I do get an error when trying to start the server via SSH

 /etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd restart

/etc/httpd/modules/libphp4.so: undefined symbol: gdImageCreateFromGif

Ideas ????
I am still learning Linux....and it is late so off to bed.....
And this webserver is not criticial.
Mail and DNS are working fine.
