Actually, I had similar problems with CMU a year or so ago. More precisely
it was my IHP who was paid a fee to backup and restore the box to a new RAQ.
They say they used the CMU utility but I ended up starting over with the box
after finding that site permissions, site numbering, cgi-bin permissions and
new GUI changes did not function properly. At that the time they were
supposedly handling everything. From that point on I rebuilt the server
myself and manually transferred the files, setup PHP, etc. It has been
running great. Unfortunately, I just but a new RAQ4 (sitting in my
home/office closet) and will be colocating at a local facility now. I need
to move this commercial boxes contents to the new one as smoothly as
possible. Currently running the new RAQ in-house on an internal router until
it goes colo.
Really concerned about a smooth transfer. I don't want to spend two weeks
through Christmas getting the box in perfect running order... any advice on
a smooth transfer this time?
Best regards,
Troy Arnold
