This sounds like one of the original XTR's, has this been back to Sun? There
was a recall on the XTR this year, it was known to have loads of bugs and I
think the replacement has only just come out.

I rebooted my RaqXTR (purchased 03/01) about two weeks ago. It stopped in
ROM menu mode and has on every reboot since. With a serial monitor attached
it displays
Press spacebar to enter ROM mode
Cobalt:Main Menu>
without pressing the spacebar. It goes instantly from the "press" message to
the "Cobalt:Main Menu" prompt. The LCD display shows "Sys in ROM menu mode".
If I do nothing other than enter "quit", it will go ahead and boot normally.
But this is not a viable solution since I usually do not have physical
access to the machine. (It's been pulled from the hosting site to work on
this problem.)
I can find no reference to this behavior in any of the docs or knowlegebase.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
