Dear list,
We have a Qube 3 with the kernel 2.2.16C27_III. We want to make it support
VPN masquerading and know that it needs two steps:
1. apply a patch for VPN masquerading.
2. reconfig and rebuild the kernel.
We have download the patch from
http://www.impsec.org/linux/masquerade/ip_masq_vpn-2.2.15.patch.gz.
However, we always get failed hunks. We found that the directory
/usr/src/linux is not completed but we could not find the source from
/usr/src/redhat/SOURCES/cobalt-linux-*.tar.gz. Therefore we downloaded a
new rpm file from
ftp://ftp.cobalt.com/pub/rpms/kernel/kernel-2.2.16C27_V-4.src.rpm. However,
it always say that the kernel cannot be installed (rpm -i *.rpm).
Is our steps correct?
What else we can do to restore the kernel source files?
I know that someone has made a nice package to implement this feature but
the link is now inaccessible. I would be much appreciated if you have got
it and post it out again.
Thank you for your attention.
Regards,
Erving
