I am starting a hosting company with a couple of RaQs. My concern is,
what happens if one of the RaQs suddenly dies due to a memory or hard
disk failure? I'd like to implement StaQware, but Sun discontinued that.
To those of you who own web hosting companies: what do you do to prevent
your customers' websites from going down? Just backing it up doesn't
seem to be enough, as there would be a delay between finding out that
the server was down and running in to swap out the RaQ with another one
(since I am 40 miles away from my datacenter.)
I'd like to hear any backup/failover/clustering solutions that you have
implemented successfully with the RaQs.
Thanks,
Erica
