Hmmm, I wonder how many of "us" would allow someone to "bash"
us on our own listserve.......

You've got a point but there is also a fine line between "bashing" and
"criticism". Doesn't help that I'm a bit sarcastic <wry grin>
but seriously, from a personal perspective, all we are doing is telling a
company that we have supported in its previous form (Cobalt) to please not
throw us out into the gutter. It is a very big suprise to find a company
selling hardware/software that is not under warranty anymore (and is not
refurbished / etc. etc.) and it is quite a shock - sadly, it's a shock that
is not made clear in advance.
$un should know that, at the very least, if they are going to do this then
they should at least let people know. I wouldn't have a problem with it if I
was at least notified, not told over the phone by someone when I called for
their magically delicious warranty support - because just like the Keelber
Elves Cookies, the warranty dissappeared as soon as I opened my mouth ;p
<ah, laughter- rejuvenator of our souls!>
