Re: [cobalt-users] [Webmin] was Are Raq's here to stay? (opinionswanted)

Following this thread, thought I would add my USD 0.02

No RaQ's are not here to stay, at least the RaQ you purchased isn't.

As the RaQ ages, it will become unsupported by Sun/Cobalt, thus it's finished.
Even while it is supported your are stuck with outdated kernels, and the kernel
*is* Linux.

I have RaQ2's and RaQ3's which are supported less and less, and I also have
RaQ4's
which sooner or later will be in the same shape.
I like the hardware (size, power consumption).
I will soon convert a RaQ2 (on the 2do list) to netBSD.
I would like to convert a RaQ3 to RedHat 7.2. (further down on the 2do list).

The conversions are necessary to obtain a supported operating system
