Have you tried rebooting your machine?  I know it sounds strange but for 
some reason it works.  When you say the admin pages are non functional, 
what error do you get when you try to access them?  If all else fails I 
would use the paper clip reset feature and try and ssh back in after 
having rebooted.  Either way you are going to need some hands right at the 
server.
